Jill Bish - Director of Catering and Convention Services

Fearless leader, Jill, supports her team to help create memorable moments through exceptional service and fabulous food. Her dedication to anticipating guests’ needs and providing answers to questions before they are asked allows the Radisson Catering team to create the best experience possible. Jill’s 20 years of experience have taught her that if there is a will, there is a way.

Jill loves the Gyro and Dips & Chips Stations from the Radisson Catering Strolling Stations menus.

Derrick Ricca, CHSP - Senior Sales Manager

A classic character around the Radisson, Derrick is as consistent and passionate as they come. He has booked over 6,000 events ranging from corporate meetings to celebratory parties in his 16 years at Radisson and genuinely enjoyed every relationship built along the way. Derrick loves cooking which helps him stay up to date on catering questions when booking events.

Derrick’s favorite Radisson Catering meal is the Braised Short Ribs. They are “awesome” and “never let him down!”

Sam Kirkendall - Social Event Sales Manager

Sam uses her creativity and passion for people to problem solve and provide the best experience possible for couples searching for their perfect wedding venue. As the voice, email, or face couples first interact with, Sam is the go-to girl for all questions about hosting a wedding at the Radisson of Kalamazoo.

Sam’s favorite Radisson Catering meal is the Brie and Pear Roasted Chicken Breast, Thyme Whipped Potatoes, and Lemon Honey Glazed Carrots.

John Mendles - Executive Chef of Banquets and Catering, Greenleaf Hospitality Group

John’s passion for developing a successful, customer-oriented culinary team is evident in every event his team touches. He’s focused on creating a world class dining experience for guests and thrives off the success of his team in doing so. John has been with Greenleaf Hospitality Group for 10 years, spending the last five in his current role of Executive Chef of Banquets and Catering.

John like’s the concept of featuring local products, making the Pure Michigan buffet his favorite.

Our expert at event logistics, Lindsay, has helped to create the biggest day in some people's lives, with weddings and other significant life events for over 10 years! Her optimistic attitude and fun personality make her perfectly suited to be at the forefront of planning amazing events at the Radisson.

Jessie Buehl - Director of banquets

If you need action taken, you need Jessie. After the event details are determined, she and her team make it happen. From set-up and serving guests to event break down, the banquet team does it all. Jessie loves leading a large team. She uses her 17 years of experience in multiple positions on the banquet team to ensure guests have the best experience possible.

Jessie’s favorite Radisson Catering meal is the Arugula Salad with pears and shallots.
